THE CHALLENGE

The war in Ukraine has resulted in the massive destruction of essential, life-sustaining infrastructure and a crippling devaluation of the nation’s currency. The full extent of human suffering defies description.

Still, we all know that far too many lives depend on a delicate balance of generosity from outside the country and targeted, capable distribution of aid where it is desperately needed.

Unprotected segments of the population depend upon humanitarian aid, the delivery of which is challenging in war-torn territories and those recently liberated from occupation.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

DataArt and United4Change Center (U4C), a U.S. nonprofit committed to peace, development, and international humanitarian causes, are working together to raise and facilitate humanitarian aid to finance initiatives by volunteers who are bravely delivering aid to remote areas not typically covered by large humanitarian aid channels. The goal of this Humanitarian Fund is to provide supplies for war victims’ fundamental needs. Our ability to do so will be decisive in ensuring people’s survival in especially hostile circumstances. The following represents many of the kinds of assistance we are providing and for which your support is essential. DataArt will match all donations.

ACCESS TO HEALTHCARE

Providing medical supplies, surgical instruments, medicine, equipment, and transport vehicles to various hospitals in Ukraine.

ACCESS TO SHELTER

Direct help to people who have lost loved ones, whose housing has been destroyed or occupied, or who have been injured by Russian attacks.

ACCESS TO FOOD

Distributing weekly food supplies to de-occupied territories and socially vulnerable groups living in rural areas.

ACCESS TO EDUCATION

Buying internet routers for school bomb shelters, allowing continuity of education during airstrikes.

ACCESS TO CLEAN WATER

Supplying drinkable water to Mykolaiv, a city that has been disconnected from its drinkable water supply for over six months. One truck can deliver a week’s supply of water to 7,000 people.

ACCESS TO ELECTRICITY/HEAT

The average electricity outage in Ukraine is currently 2-3 hours a day. There is a huge need for portable generators for hospitals, schools, orphanages, etc. Russian attacks have damaged at least 30% of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. For the winter period, there is an urgent need for alternative methods of heating such as portable wood ovens that can be delivered from abroad or made locally. The current demand in our pipeline is about 200 units, and the price per unit starts at $100.

POST-TRAUMA SUPPORT

Financing a psychological rehabilitation program for children affected by the war.
